Her fat tier is the proprietor of the Washington Hotel, No.205 Market street, where the family live.She was large for her age and was a pretty Italian maid with black eyes and hair. She had an admirer, a young tailor, named Chrispino Daleeeio. The couple had wanted to get married, but it is said the father objected.On Monday afternoon the girl’s father and mother had a quarrel, when the girl interfered and took the mother's part.The father struck at tin* girl, hitting her alongside the head,near the temple. She fell over on the floor. She complained of feeling bad, and, it is thought, took the poison a half hour later, about 5.110.Her sister, Lizzie, came for her to go to a masquerade party. Alice did not tell her that she had taken the poison, but went with her to the home of her aunt, Mrs. Sylvester Defalco, No. 702 Spruce street, to dress for the party which was to be held at the residence of a friend, Miss McNeal, No. 220 French street.Alice wanted to dress as a cowboy, but her sister refused to allow her to do so.She complained of a burning sensation in her stomach and soon got deathly sick. Dr. H. M. Frist was summoned,as was also her admirer w no had already arrived at the party. The young man came and held tier in his arms while an effort was made to get her to take medi cine.
