Town and County Affairs. SaturDAY, NovemBER 2, 1895. This is Institute week, and the schools have been closed while the teachers have been in attendance at Doylestown. Vansant saw a big flock of wir os flying Southward on Wednesday afternoon, and predicts that this is a sure sign of approach ing cold weather. Smith Brothers is the name of a new business firm who has opened a general store at Wood's old cor ner, Mill and Wood streets. They propose doing a strictly cash busi ness. William D. Freed, the Democratic candidate for ,County Treasurer, was a visitor in Bristol on Wednes day last, looking up votes in his favor. His opponent, Stover, was here last week. Only one of them will be elected, but each thinks he is to be the lucky individual.
