Houm and Contents HnraecLOn last Saturday night about 13* o’clock C. B. Hootin'® house and con-tents, about a mile west of her®, were completely destroyed by fire. ^ ?he family was away from home and when ■ ;i returned, v wHire once ■ stnd .a beautiful house and home, there was nothing but a heap of ashes, f From the fact that the house was a new one and the chimneys and flues in a sound condition the lire must hare been of incendiary origin. Possibly the house had been plundered by someone and set afire to hide the crime. We are informed that Mr. Ilootin had about $SJOO insurance on the house and contents, but that will not cover half the loss Mr. Hootin and family are living in Mrs. McDonald's house in Collettown.
