They tried to escaped but Hi lea kept them at bay with a revolver until others came in to assist with the ariest, Ad lour were taken in cbaige by the cfiicers and brought here.To© bouse was staiehtd from cellar to attic and while no intoxicating Lqaora were found, a bar room was found in the ei liar with all equipments. The biifbaud and wife gave bail for a hearing this morning, and their two sons were committed to the lockup. The witnesses who testified at the bearing thi morning were Arthur ar d Kaiue Martin and Mrs. Flippy. The testimony showed that all the witness*® had purchase d beer and whkky from the defendants, slid Arthur Martin, who is I Ut eleven }ears of aglt;, te-tjfied to bYiog t ought whisky by the quart for bis mother. The testimony also shuwtd that people had been exchanging meat and bread for liquor.William Fido was held in #1,600 bail, the father in #1,000 bail for c m t, and Hubert will be given a hearing at another time. There was no evidence against Mrs. Fido, ami the justice discharged her.
