Wm. A. MeardonWin. A. Meardon is the republican choice for office of supervisor for the four year term. Mr. Meardon is running in a three comer race with Charles Lacina as his democratic opponent and R. P. Jones as his opponent running o the independent ticket.Mr. Meardon is no stranger in the political life of Johnson county. He is well known, perhaps now more than he was two years ago at this time. It will be recalled that Mr, Meardon was a candidate for the board of supervisors two years ago, running against Mr. Fitpa trick and Frank Krall. Supporters of Mr. Meradpn contend that he would have landed the office if it had not been for the democratic landslide.i •However Mr, Meardon is not walking aibout the county telling this sort: of thing because he it not that type of man. He is a gentleman in every sense of the word and he is conducting his campagn as a gentleman should. He does however believe that men who have been on the board of supervisors for more than two terms should retire and he states that this seems to be the sentiment of a large number of voters over the county*Mr. Meardon is fully qualified fco assume the duties of supervisor the republicans state and he should receive the serious consideration of the voters of the county.
