Liesy, of the English department, and JamesCarlin, showing a reversal of du-■ties under the modern system with the husband doing the housework. Dr. Umphrey Lee, pastor of Highland Park Methodist Church, gave a humorous talk on the library system and Professor Henry Smith of the Southwest Review and English department had as his subject, “On living in America”. Musical numbers for the program were I furnished by Floradora Harmon-ettes and Charles Kiker.Professor John McGinnis, of the Southwest Review and English department and Oliver Hinsdell were principal speakers at the genera! lt;session held Friday afternoon fol- t lowing the section meeting in the 1 morning and luncheon at the Uni- 1 versity Club. The convention closed after a night session Friday. Delegates will go to Fort Worth andArlington Downs Saturday as the guests of the Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce and W. T. Waggoner.Officers elected at Thursday’s sessions were Miss Christine Sanders of Little Rock, Arkansas, treasurer of the association, elected president and Miss Cleora Clanton, librarian of Dallas Public Library, vice president of the Texas section.
