Two of the boys charged with Stealing Eden Thurston’s Ford tour ing car from in front of the English theater in Indianapolis have owly severely punished In police court at Indianapolis as shown by a story in the Indiana Daily Times of Tuesday evening, ‘Their sentences, however, for the theft of a car that belongs to J. J. Mahoney of the traction term inal company. The story in the Times is as follows: “Pleading guilty to charges of un lawful possession of an automobilal ani petit larceny. Carl Beaning, 19, of 727 Buchanan street, and William Dean, 21, of 212 south East street, were fined $25 and costs each and sentenced to ninety days at the penal farm on the first charge and $24 and costs and 180 days at the penal farm on these.ond by Judge Deery in o lice court today. “The case of Charles Kinister, pro prietor of a second-hand store at 246 West Vermont street, who wight rested on the charge of reevis stolen guons after, it is said, he ad mitted buying several autombile tires from the two young men 41, not reporting It to the police, was taken under advisement for a wek. He testified he did not know the tires were stolen. “The case of another young man, who was arrested on a vagrancy charge was dismissed when it was learned he had no connection with the case. “Reaning and Dean both admitted stealing three automobiles. One of them was from William FE, Thurston, of Shelbyville.tis said they drove it to Indiantapolis and after taking a joy ride abandoned it on the out skirts of the city. The machine they were charged with stealing belonged to J. J. Mahoney of the traction terminal company. It was found by the police abandoned in the easter section of the city.
