hailiCaP1A Rush.—The Democratic meeting held in this place on Friday evening last was the season of a glorious time for the Dem ocracy of Evansville. As near as was ascertained the party was out in full force— seven in number, by actual count—as we are told by those who knew them, although the hall was well filled; but an extra effort was made to get out republicans to have a full house, that the ambition of the speakers might have something to feed on and so prevent a fizzle. It being the first democratic meeting ever held in town many were prompted to go out of mere curiosity alone.The cheering came at regular intervals and was pretty well done considering the amount of training they had previously enjoved.
