For the Cheraw Gazette.Darlington, Oct. 27, 1630.At a meeting of the members of the Bar, i I held in the Court House this day, his Honor : i Josiaii J. Evass was called to the Chair, and i Alexander Graham appointed Secretary.T. J. Wethers Es p, after some appropriate ! and eloquent remarks as to the character and : i bearing of the late Col. JAMES It. ER\ IN, submitted the following preamble and resolu-j tions which were adopted unanimously. jWhereas, it has pleased God in the dispensa- i tion of his providence, to remove from this i sphere our deceased brother James It. Ervin ; and whereas it is lit that those who were more j ! closelv associated with the deceased, and knew j ! him best in all the relations of life, should unite ’ • in recording some public testimonial ot respect for his meinorv.mResolved Therefore, hv the members of the Bar of the Northern Circuit here assembled, r i that they have heard with the deepest sorrow f : the sudden demise of their senior member ! James R.
