Cemetery.Robert A. HastingsRobert Arthur Hastings, 71, of Texas City died May 29, 1995 at his residence.Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. today in the chapel of the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Mtuque. Bishop Dewey Hughes and Gary R. Barber officiating. Entombment will follow in Grace Memorial Park Cemetery in Hitchcock under the direction of the James Crowder Funeral Home of La Marque.Visitation will be held today after 8:30 a.m. until the lime of service.Mr. Hastings was born April 9, 1924 in Topeka, Kan., and was owner and president of Hasco Home : Improvement Inc. for 25 years. He i was of the Methodist faith, a veteran i of the U.S. Army serving in World i War II and a member of the VFW i and the Mainland Elks Lodge No. 2141. _ ,He had resided in Texas City since 1955 and was formerly of Kansas.**Survivors include his eternal companion, Jonye Glover Hastings of Texas City; seven daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Gary Barber of Crosby, Linda and Lee Butler of Santa Fe, Karen Hastings of Webster, Sherri Glover, Pattie Galloway, Trudie Rice Shiel and Teresa Rice Harvey; three sons, Randy Hastings of Crosby, Bobby Dunn of Texas City and Michael Shawn Glover; sister. Jean Chitwood of Kansas; 30 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.Pallbearers will be Allen Hewitt, Paul Blanchard, Don Kennedy, Jamin Barber, Mitchell Barber, Shawn Capps, Bobby Dunn and Randy Hastings.
