Niece of Mrs. Carroll Watson And Who Lived In Bath Sev eral Years Wed A wedding in Tokyo, Japan, on April 26, of Bath interest has recently been announced by Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Donnell of Kalamazoo, Mich., and Popham Beach, whose daughter, Mary Eleanor, was married to Capt. Joseph John Rogers, son of Mrs. Vera V. Rogers, of Burbank, Calif. The service was per formed by Chaplain E. L. Temple in the Washington Heights chapel in Tokyo. The bride is a granddaughter of the late Mrs. Charles R. Don nell of Washington street, and is a niece of Mrs. Carroll Watson of Washington street. She lived in Bath for nearly five years, fol lowing her return to this country from Japan with her parents, and attended Bath schools. She is a graduate of Smith college. In January of 1947 she left for Korea and was assigned to the Bureau of Public Opinion of the Public Information Department in Seoul and then was trans ferred to the G section, head quarters of the 24th Corps as a biographic analyst for the Army. She is now associated with the U. S. State Department Diplo matic Section in Tokyo. During World War II she served with the Office of Strategic Services in Washington, D. C. Capt. Rogers has been with the U. S. Army headquarters sec tion, 24th Division in Korea, since the outbreak of hostilities. For her wedding the bride wore an old-fashioned gown of white lace and a matching Juli ette cap with a fingertip veil of white net. She carried a spray of white orchids. Following the ceremony there was a reception at the general headquarters officers club. Capt. Rogers has returned to duty in Korea after a five-day leave and Mrs. Rogers is living in Tokyo.
