‘ Henry Simpson Blanch Weill Emma Barker Pearl Brown Rose Prince These are the names of the pupils who will receive diplomas of gradua tion from the County High School at the commencement exercises tonight. The class is regarded as a particularly bright one, and a matter worthy of mention is the fact that Henry Simp son is the first colored student to graduate from any high school in the valley. Young Simpson has attended school in Bakersfield all his life and has spent three years in the high school. In the final examinations, which are supposed to be a test of scholarship, he stood first in a class in which the percentages were un usually high. At the exercises to be held this evening School Superintendent Coub will act as presiding officer and the full program will be as heretofore out lined. All are invited to attend. Tomorrow evening the alumni will give a reception to the members of the graduating class.
