Obituary.LITTLE BOYCE.Royce Avene Weddel, infant son of William R. and Sadie E. Weddel, born May 12,1888, died May 20, 1888, aged eight days. This was the first child to bless a union of eight years. Its little life was like the May flowers that blossom and fade, but leave a fragrance that is eternal. A tiny bud on earth, a full-blown flower iu heaven. It was such as this Christ blessed and said, “Of such i9 the kingdom of heaven.”As the sweet flower that scents the morn,But withers in the rising day,Thus lovely seemed the infant's dawn,Thus swiftly tied his life awav.► *Lre sin could blight or sorrow fade,Death timely came with friendly care, The opening bud to heaven conveyed,And bade it bloom forever there. He died before his infant soul Had ever burned with wrong desire— Had ever spumed at Heaven’s control.Or madly quenched its sacred fire.Lone are the paths and sad the bowers, Whence thy meek smile has gone; But, O, a brighter home than ours.In heaven is now thine own.
