the 20th day of June, 1806. °The King has also been graciously pleased, by warrant under his Ro\al signet and sign manual, bearing date the 21st day of May instant, to give and grant unto Charles Lydiard, F.sq. a Captain in the Royal Navy, and Commander of his Majesty's ship Anson, his Royal licence and authority, that he and his defendants may bear in their armorial ensigns a representation of the gold medal which his Ma-jesty whs graciously pleased to confer upon him, as a mark of his Royal approbation !,of his gallant services at the capture of the islandot Curncoa, and its dependencies, on the* 1st day ot January last.'i 1,..
