In Judge Bensing’s traffic Court Tuesday, Ross Lee Deck er was fined $5 after she plead ed guilty to having disregarded a stop sign. Others who were fined $5 for the same offense included: Freddie Bedford, Haz el Steven, Joe Stevens Jr, Ed sel Morrow, and Jackie Tidwe!! Henry Lee Evans received a five dollar fine for speeding charges. Parking in an alley cost Mrs. Alma, Taylor $2 in fine Charges of excessive noise cost Jack Leon Geller $5 in fines before Judge Bensing. Rob ert Smith pleaded guilty to charges of running a red light. He was fined five dollars by Bensing. In criminal action, Lulu Bell Miller pled not guilty in a hearing before Judge Bensing Tuesday morning. She was re leased on a $50 bond and gran ted a continuance until June 6 at 2 p.m. This is Mrs. Millers fifth offence. The Janitor of the Houston Junior High school notified pol ice early Wednesday morning that vandals had done extensive damage to the school. The jani tor told police that the gymna sium had been broken into. Hobbs police officer Allen was assigned to investigate the damage. Lula Bell Miller, a well-known person at the Hobbs police de partment, was arrested for the second time in two days Wed nesday on charges of destruct ion of public property. Lula Bell who lives at 616 E. White St. in Hobbs allegedly broke the co moee in the city jail when she was there the night before. She is being held on a $50 bond in the city jail pending court hear ing. No single soil and water man agement practice, by itself, will insure high crop yields. But the U.S Department of Agriculture Scientists report that such prac tices as supplemental irrigation and the application of high rates of fertilizer used ‘together can ‘bring results.
