OIL SHORTSI • -r*-*Five porminent oil men of Ii’o baton have purchased a tract or land of around 4,880 acres in Port Bend knd Harm counties, about eight miles north of Clodine for $50,000 cash for use for a hunting preserve and for country lodges and homes. The land, was purchased from the South Texas Commercial Bank, which retained l-48th.or the:mineral rights. The. property was purchased in the name-of the Cinco.-Ranch Campania recently gjvcn a charter with H, G» Neime, president; W. M. Whcless of the. Gulf Oil Corporation, secretary-fcrestsurer. Others in the company are J; Br Abercrombie, W. B. Byron of the Gulf Oil Corporation and Xj. M; Joaey.
