| NORWAY VICINITY |'_iMay 28.—Last day of school in Norway, Tuesday was observed by the usual basket dinner. A large crowd attended. A baseball game furnished the afternoon’s amusement.C. B. Carlgren went to Kansas City Tuesday evening with a shipment of cattle, returning Thursday morning.The junior choir of the Lutheran church met Tuesday evening at the church for practice. Later in the evening a farewell party was given in the church parlors for Carrol Walker, member of the choir and also the high school principal. Lunch was served. Mr. Walker left last Thursday for his home in Omaha, where he will spend the summer.L. W. Engle is among the tractor farmers having purchased one from Wright’s recently.Mrs. E. A. Campbell, Lee and Dick of Concordia, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Wright and Lynette.Bertha Johnson, Edith Chizek Sarah Wright, Ollie Hugos, Charlotte Walter, Iola Larson and Alice Hammer were Tuesday evening guests of Miss Minta Walter.A large crowd of relatives and friends of the Glen Wright family Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Fagan and I family and Mrs. Emma Morley and son Harvey, who are all leaving Norway soon, gathered at the United Brethren church parlors Wednesday evening for a farewell party.
