Mrs. Harry Dudley Lindsey, 27, of Bon Air, was arrested today by Deputy Sheriff Ollie Lartigue on a warrant charging her with as sault and beating Mrs. Mary Hayes, a neighbor. Mrs. Hayes is in City hospital in a critical con dition, according to statements made by Dr. J. C. Hope, county physician. Mrs. Lindsey was accompanied to the jail by four young children. One of them a baby, Mrs. Lindsey, when asked for a statement by a Times’ reporter as to the cause of the trouble, stated Mrs. Hayes had abused her and yesterday attacked her. She said she then struck Mrs. Hayes with her fists. Mrs. Hayes is suffering from internal injuries, it was an nounced.
