Dixie’s Garden of the Gods to Furnish Summer Home for President. National Headquarters Tallulaan Falls Conservation Association, Gainesville, Ga. May 25, 1912.—The survey recently completed by the University of Georgia shows the area of the tract of land in the chasm opposite lot eleven, in the Fifth Dis trict of Rabun county, to be one (100) hundred acres. This one (100) hun dred acre tract was not surveyed in the original surveys of upwards of one hundred years ago, and so could not be granted or sold and is still the property of the people of Geor gia. In this tract is included the main falls of Tallulah. There are similar tracts of land of large acre age in the grand canon above and be low this tract, and also on the oppo site side of the river which still be long to the state. The ablest lawyers in Georgia and the ablest lawyers in America are now ready to bring suit against the water power trust to recover the people's property. It is not the fault of Gov ernor Brown that suit has not long since been brought. The Georgia Railway and Power Company expects to make some un holy deal with the Georgia Legislature by which they will be able to remain in possession of Tallulah Falls. But the day will never dawn in Georgia when our legislative halls will be filled by a gang of hoodlums and hounders who will compromise with Georgia’s honor.
