Dead Body Washed Ashore.Frederick Allen, a boatman Monday morniDg came upon the dead body of a middle-aged man which was floating in the water outside of Joyce’screek, The spot where the body wai found is two miles aouth of Pumpkin Island, one of the Thimbles. Allen towed the badly decomposed body to the shore and notified Dr, Gaylord, of Branford, the medical examiner. It is thought that the body had been lying in the water for many days. The body was brought to S. A. Griswold's undertaking establishment on Main street and was buried in Center cemetery, at the expense of the town, Tuesday morning. The remains were not identified.
