Death of Mr. Alonzo Depee.sftrtMr. Alonzo Depee was bqrn June 20, 1836, 4n Indiana. Moved to Wisconsin in 1856; was married to j Miss L. Jane Joseph, Nov. 11, 1860, e to whom no children were born. He was a soldier i« the late war; in 1869 moved to Iowa and was a resident of Sioux City for 22 years. /There,( and in 1876, he professed faith in j Jesus Christ and united with the 1 st: j ] Baptist church. Became a member of the Odd Fellows in 1891 and re-,j j sided at the l^alms and this place c most of the time since. Died on May \ 26th, after an illness of about three j, years, age 59 years, 11 months, 6 ! j days. I,The funeral took place at 101 o’clock Thursday under the auspices of the I. O. O. F., the services being held in the Baptist church, which was well attended. A short sermon was preached by the pastor, Rev. T.R. Bowles. The remains were in- j tered in our Cemeterv with the rites ] of the Order.The deceased had a nie home on J the west side of town. He had one brother here. Mrs. Depee has the sympathy of the community in this her great sorrow.
