The Rev. Casimir E. Zielinski, oO. Carm., son of Mr. and Mrs. Vin cent Zielinksi, 1104 Elizabeth street, will be ordained to the priesthood on Wednesday morn ing at 10 o’clock. The ceremony will take place in_ St. Clara’s church and National Shrine of the Little Flower, 64th and Woodlawn, in Chicago. Rev. Casimir’s first solemn Mass will be offered on June 8 at 11:30 a. m. in Holy Cross church, Rev. Maximilian Warkocki, pastor, has announced.. He will be assisted by the Reverends Fabian W. Don lan, ©. Carm., as archpriest; Cyril T. Fitzgerald, O. Carm., as dea con; Ellis P. Reinert, O. Carm., as subdeacon and Shane D. Tahney, O. Carm., as master of ceremonies. The Rev. Norman Werling, O. Carm., will deliver the sermon. A procession, arranged by the Felician ‘Sisters of Holy Cross school, will escort the clergy into the church. Immediately after the ceremonies a breakfast will be served in Holy Cross schools for relatives and the attend ig clergy. An open house reception for friends will be held the eve ning of June 8 from 7 to w1110 o’clock at the school hall. Rev. Casimir was born in Joliet and attended Holy Cross school and two years of high school at Joliet Catholic high. He entered the Carmelite Junior seminary in Ontario in 1940. His Novitiate was made in St. John’s’ monastery, Pennsylvania; college at Md@nrt Carmel college, Niagara Falls, On tario, and Canisius college at Buf falo, N. Y. His graduate work was done at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D. C., and theological courses were taken at Whitefriars hall, Catholic univer sity campus. At present the new priest is stationed at Whitefriars hall. After 10 days vacation he will return to Washington to do further studies. This will be his first visit to Join t since 1946. Father Casimir is a former Spec tator newsboy and was employed during his summer vacations at the Ruberoid company and later the Elwood Ordnance plant. A brother, Cpl. Bernard L. Ziel inski, is stationed in Munsan, Korea. The battleship USS Iowa dis places enough water to flood 46 acres of land one foot deep. g
