They wefre 'enrbute to Maihe from Springfield where they competed1 with a nupaber of musical organization! ott/ Saturday winning h prize ai the best of 'its kind,* -rMr. and Mrs]/Ford were . entertaining a party of fourteen guests at the famous Inn over the weekend and wqre dining in the new dinip'g room just completed. It was announced to Mr.. Ford that the prize Choral society were there and he requested that they sing fOr his party.The Ford party were thoroughly* enjoying themselves, chatting in a happy vein and-many of .the patrons seemingly unaware of the distinguished guests .seated quite near them. Authorities at the Inn would giye out no information/as to the identity 6f the guests but it is stated on good authority that !Charles Dana Gibson, he noted artist, and Mrs. Cjibson, Mr. and Mrs. Charles S. Flint, Detroit, Mr. Harvey Firestone w^re. members of the party. Capt. Fitzmaurice $with Mrs. Fitzmaurice and ’ daughter are also said to be guests at the Inn. This was denied at-the hostelry though New York papers stated fthat he is, here and is doubtless travelling incognito. Prof. and Mrs. Benjamin F. Lovett dancing instructors, formerly of Hudson were present.Mrs. Ford was dressed in a blue frock, grey coat, close fitting hat and black satin pumps with rhinestone buckles while Mr. Ford wore a dark blue serge suit. The most noticeable, article of of his apparel were his shoes which were similar to those worn by dancing -teachers, made of soft dull leather with a light flexible sole, there was no tip and Were slightly higher than a regular oxford and were laced/ iAfter the group had leisurely I eompleted’thelr noon-day meal Mr* f Ford’s Lincoln car drew up to the main entrance of the Inn and several of the party entered the car whil© other's folowed in automobiles for a drive through this section of the country. * ,Yesterday morning Prof. and
