‘To Name State in Indiana Democratic Convention, INDIANAPOLIS, May 29.—De claring that he could not “be honest” in his support of Edward Jackson, Republican nominee for governor, and go into the Democratic conven tion with a slate of officers, D. G. Stephenson, head of the insurgent wing of the Ku Klux Klan in Indiana, yesterday declared he had decided to take no part in the Democratic con vention next week. “We at first thought we would at tempt to name a state,” Mr. Stephen son said,“but I have decided I would look ridiculous in taking a part after having played so important a role in the Republican convention.” “We'll let the Democrats run their own show and then throw our whole effort into electing Jackson this fall,” Mr. Stephenson said.
