Only a short time ago the work was commenced with nothing but push and energy for the capital stock, but the profits have been large, and when the doors are opened to-morrow afternoon patrons will tind over 200 volumesto make their selections from.tThe books are mostly new and are all standard works. The small membership fee of will be charged, which will entitle one to a year’s reading, during which time one may read as many books as they wish.A room has belt;Mi secured at the court house and the library will be open each Saturday afternoon from 11 to 5 o'clock.It is the intention of the ladies to add m*\v books as fast as the patronage will justify, and by paying for a membership card one also helps to increase the library, and as there has* never been anything attempted in Salli-saw that had a greater tendency to promote the moral interest of the community Tin-: Star believes that tin* general public will respond with a generous patronage.Below we publish the rules and regulations:All persons subscribing $1,00 annu-(t((
