On Friday of last week, the fine residence of Elibu Wheeler, atoul one mile north of Gild well caught fire and was entirely destroyed. They managed to Uave most of the furniture and wearing apparel, but lost their provisions that I were stored in the cellar. Loss about two thousand dollars. Insured for fourteen hundred dollars in a safe company.
