SHEBOYGAN, WJS.'rt'EBXESDAl, ITS A IT 2D, 1S01.fr'las Hnisilng nt Wliejit Valley.At a meeting of citizens of the town of Lima, held at Wheat Valley (Parrish's Corners) on Wednesday evening, May 22, for the purpose of malting arrangements for the proper observance of the 75til-anniversary of the birth.day of Maj. Gen. Wixi-tuld Scout, which takes places on Saturday, the 1st day of June next, and for the raising of amagnifieent' UNION FLAG, at oneo’clock 1*. r. on that day, at the above mentioned place, Asel G. Dye, Esq.) was called to the Chair, and S. D. Littlefield chosen Secretary.On motion, a committee of five, consisting of Messrs. A. G. Dye, J. D. Parrish, J. Whiting, S. D. Littlefield and K. Wheeler, was appointed to solicit subscriptions to defray the cost of flag and other incidental expenses. On motion a special invitation was voted all such soldiers as have served our country under the “Star Spangled Banner,” to bo presented at the proposed meeting. A. G. Dye was, on motion, chosen to superintend the erection ol the polo, and act as Moderator. John Whiting was appointed committee to purchase material for flag, «fcc. The Moderator was, on motion, charged with the duty of inviting speakers to address the meetmer.
