Forrest post hosts County meetingThe Forrest American Legion Post 174 hosted the County legion meeting on Thursday, May 20. There were 31 attending.A new slate of county officers was presented and will be installed on Thursday, June 17 at Dwight. Arthur Masters of the Forrest post was elected as county chaplain. The meeting will be at 8 p.m.Arthur Metz, Terry Adams and Donald IiOeper were in charge of serving the lunch for the Thursday night group.Walter King, commander, reports that Masters and Joseph Delaney have painted and straightened up the grave markers at the Forrest, Strawn and Wing cemeteries. Memorial Day services will be held at the Forrest cemetery at 7:30a.m. on Sunday, May 30.
