I85 dead from Typhoon OlgaMANILA, The Philippines (AP) β€” Red Cross officials and Philippine police reported 185 persons killed and 800,000 homeless today after nine days of rain, wind and floods unleashed by Typhoon Olga.Sun broke through on flood-ravaged central Luzon for the first time since rain began, showing what the Red Cross called β€œthe extent of human suffering and destruction caused by the typhoon.The Red Cross listed 175 dead. The Philippine news agency, quoting local police.reported 10 more persons, all students, were buried alive by a landslide in Nueva Vizcaya Province, bringingthe total reported dead to 185.The widespread flooding hit 27 provinces and cities, including metropolitanManila.
