James Hynes, James Kenny, Thomas Koehler, Ronald Kunde, John Michalisko, John Nemanich, John Trunda, Jim Stamborski and Gary Curtin.Athletes in the track program who received letters were Bob Bachus, Ronald Bryant. Michael Elwart, Melvin Greathouse, Thomas Fiarmon, John Mankel, Mark Marus, MVP David Miller, Dennis Morrison, Phillip Romanoski, Jeffrey Schneider, Patrick Texidor, Robert Texidor and Ronald Duenn.Northwest Suburbangirls take gym titleFor the fifth consecutive vear the Northwest Suburban TMCA Girls Gymnastics Team took the state title. Hosting the state meet for the first time, the team entertained 13teams from all over the state.Competition was held in four age groups. The Northwest Suburban girls capturedtermediate (high school) division. Mary Cronin was the state all around champion. On her way to the title Mary won the balance beam and uneven parallel bars and placed third in free exercise, vault and tumbling. Robin Mells placed second in the all-around, capturing the title in free exercise and vault and second in tumbling. Jim Hynes, Eric Shuster, Larry Wadzita, manager Mike Dolan, MVP Don Duffy, Bob Bachus and Scott Sibbernsen were given their letters.Golfers Pete Hahn (MVP),Jack Benon, Richard Ort-werth, Patrick Dwyer, GerryWhithey and Thomas Navratil earned Flarper letters for their efforts this season.Seven cross-country men were honored for their work.
