The accident happened about a mile west of Mvton,ityigd-L-d,eLS-IGBnfdnhnWednesday rites Held for Highway victimFuneral services were held Wednesday at 11 a m in the Roosevelt LDS Slake Center for William i Billy j Russell Phillips, 17-year old senior student at Union High School, who was killed instantly when the car he was driving hit a bridge near Myton on Highway 40 early Sunday morning.Conducting the funeral was Bishop D Blayne Morrill of the Whiterocks ward of which Mr Phillips was a member. He was listed as one of the 100 seniors to be graduated tonight from Union High School.The accident which killed young Mr. Phillips was discovered by Rex Cook of Roosevelt at about 2 :15 a m.Tiooper Leonard Ferguson of the Highway Patrol, who investigated, said no skid marks were visible, which leads to the conclusion that the youth fell asleep at the wheel.He and his date, who lives in Rndgeland,. had attended a (dance at Myton, He had taken his companion to her home and was apparently returning to his home in Bennett when the accident occurredTrooper Ferguson said the car first struck a guard rail on the side of the highway before traveling 71 feel where it struck the concrete abutment of the bridge.
