Mrs. D. M. Toney, of Clear Creek, has learned that her son, Pfc. Bartley Toney, was reported as missing in action in Ger many on April 3, 1945, the day he was 22 years old. She has received no further news of him since the war department telegrams ar rived. Pfc. Toney trained at Fort Knox, Ky., and other camps be fore going overseas from Camp Gordon Johnston, Fla. He landed in England July 18, 1944, and went on to see active combat in France, Belgium and Germany. Prior to entering service, he was employed as a miner at Willis Branch.
