Three hundred and fifteen mem bers of the Rocky Grove High School Alumna! association attend ed the annual banquet which was held at the First Methodist church in Franklin Friday evening. The members of this year’s grad uating class were the guests of honor, and shared honors with three alumni who were here from the greatest distance. The latter were: Dewitt Green, class of ‘19 from Salsomiggiore, Mo.; Mrs. Ray Viele, class of ‘22, from El Segundo Calif.; and Mrs. John Thompson, class of ‘23, of Stockbridge, Mass. Mrs. Viele was formerly Frances Smiley and Mrs. Thompson was Mary Prosser. At the dinner Bruce Graham, of the class of 1913, was toastmaster, Rev M. W. Gastredale, pastor of the Rocky Grove Presbyterian church, gave the invocation and Lawrence Stadler, class of ‘36, wel comed the alumni as president of the association. The response was given by William Guttmister, one of this year's graduates. Following the rel call, by the secretary, Margaret Brown, 22, Professor C, EB, Wert man, supervising principal of Sug arcreek township schools, spoke briefly and presented a cup to the class of 1937, which had the largest attendance, over 40 per cent, at the reunion The musical part of the program was furnished by Neal Trewin, 33, vocalist, accompanied on the piano by Taahelle Huston At the conclusion of the dinner the group went to the armory, where «a very amusing Initiation was held for the newly graduated class of 1935 Later dancing was enjoyed with Roy Waite and his Contrast in Rhythm pre travtra fur nishing the music The chairman in charge of the various committees Included; Vir« ginia Perry, banquet; Paul Seyler, initiation; and Lawreace Stadter, dance Announcement was made that next year the annual banquet would be held on Friday, May 26.
