The extension of the street rail way from McComb to the Godbold Mineral Wells is an assured fact. Surveying of the route has already been completed, and Mr. Ted Black more has contracted for the steel land it is now only a question of a short time before we will have the cars in operation over this fine. The road bed in passing through Summit will run up Railroad avenue as far as the north overhead bridge, and will then turn and run down the road just behind the Mansion and on out to the Wells. Summit citizens have offered to the promoters a bonus of $6,000, which was raised a few weeks ago by sub scription; for this extension and this inducement and the natural at tractiveness such a proposition pre sents has made it possible to ‘have, this road.
