The weather just suited those who take pleasure out of this great game, and in the afternoon the beautiful grounds were covered with golfers. The grounds this season are in better shape than ever before, and a fine addition has been built to the clubhouse, which now gives plenty of room, even on the busiest days.A handicap competition was heldyesterday afternoon on the links and) •the utmost interest was taken in the proceedings by those present.In the medal play for gentlemen,Mr. Fred McDiarmid won firstprize, and Mr. J. D. Flavelle captured second prize. A great deal of interest was taken in this game, and the scores were very close.In the medal play for ladies Mrs. Fred Wilford succeeded in takingfirst prize, and Miss M. Sootheranreceived second prize. This play was keenly contested, and furnished lots of excitement.The mixed fofesome was won Miss N.
