One of the best beloved priests of the Catholic Church in all western Penns vl-.vania was Father Thomas Carroll of j Oil City, who died of Bright's disease, j in the 04th year of his age, at the par- \ BOnage in that place on Wednesday afternoon of this week. Father Carroll was a big man physiciallydntellectually,) spiritually, patriotically, philantbropi-. cally and financially. St. Joseph’s Church, over which he presided is one of the most magnificent church edifices in the State and it was through his en-’ ergy and business capacity that the Oil City parish secured it.
