OBITUARYLEEROY KUNGMANFuneral services for Mr. LeeRoy Klingman, 47, were held on Wednesday, May 19th, 1976 at the Elgin Lutheran Church with Rev. Duane A. Berg officiating and with the Gleim Funeral Home of Arlington in charge of arrangements.LeeRoy Klingman, 47, son of Ray J. Klingman and Mabel Erickson Klingman was born on November 24,1928 at Prairie lake Cabins, Duluth, Minnesota. He was confirmed in the Christian Faith on April 5th, 1942 at St. Sebald Lutheran Church, Strawberry Point, Iowa. LeeRoy#graduated from the Volga High School and served in the United States Navy.On January 8, 1952 he was married to Dolores Wagner at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Farm-ersburg, Iowa. Their four children are Randy Jerome of Elgin, Mrs. Charles (Cindy) Hofmokkell, Glenwood, Ricky Lee and Jon Alan who are still living at home in Volga. LeeRoy is also survived by his father, Ray, Volga, two sisters, Mrs. Robert (Leona) Longmuir of Arlington, Mrs. Kenneth (Corrine) Roys of St. Olaf, one brother Charles Merlin of Arlington, Va., numerous relatives and a host of friends.LeeRoy w{ts an active member of the Elgin Lutheran Church, Elgin, Iowa. He was a member of the church council and worked with the pastor and congregation in various church duties.He was a progressive farmer and worked in all phases of farming. LeeRoy’s great interest outside of farming was fishing and hunting and sharing with both old and young the pleasures of these activities. LeeRoy worked hard and enjoyed the land and all the pleasures it offered.Honorary pallbearers for the service were Kevin Roys, Dennis Ihde, Robert Longmuir, Jr.; Pallbearers were Kenneth Roys, Jr., Lonnie Roys, Ronald Longmuir, Wayne Ihde, Danny Wagner, Tom Schultz.LeeRoy Klingman was buried at the Elgin Cemetery.
