To date we have given American grief-burdened mothers little reason to believe their loved ones did not die needlessly on the altar of human waste.In an atmosphere of international name calling and fist shaking, there is little .wonder tbe next of kin. huddled silently around the bodies of our war dead, ask themselves “Is This What They Died For?”In our private lives each of usare desperately trying to forgetthe war. Instead of worrying aboutlosing the peace we thought wehad won we are more disturbedby the high cost of living. Wenever stop to think what the deadwould say to us about the highcost of dying. * * * *The new tennis court at the VFWHome is nearing completion, andall members and there familiesare invited to make use of thecourt at any time.* * * *Cullman Post is still driving for first place in the membership drive in the state Veterans with overseas service, lets join up?Regular meeting are still held the first and third Thursday of each month.
