Mrs. Josephine Parrish, who cele brated her seventy-second birthday was honor guest at a sumptuous din ner Sunday, three miles from Ver gennes. Dinner was served on the lawn at noon time, the weather hav ing moderated, that made outdoor feasting enjoyable. Many relatives and friends joined in the celebration. The guests were: Mrs. Annie C. Dale of Cape Girardeau, Mo., Edgar and Byron Deese, John and Allene Dyans, Mrs. Bradford and son of Wal tonville, Ill., George Hall of Mt. Ver non, IL, Mr. and Mrs. Ivor Sims and family of Benton, IL, Mr. and Mrs. Jess Tuiss, Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Frazer of Rockwood, ill, Mr. and Mrs. Worth Shaffer, Mr. and Mrs. Will Wright and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Craw shaw and baby of Carbondale, Harlen Parrish and children of Elkville, Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Crow of Murphysboro, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Wright and family of Murphysboro, Mr. and Mrs. Will Parrish and family, Mrs. Annabelle and daughter Cora, Will Deese, Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Robinson, Mr. and Mrs. Homer Robinson and family, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Parish and family, Mrs. Josephine Parrish, John and Georgia May Sims, Maurine and Roy Parrish, Della and Ella Lee Wright, Freely, Howard, Imogen Jene, Ed mond and Denver Robinson, Thomas, Dorothy, Ira and Irene Parrish, Ella Louise Crawshaw, Archie Bradford, Hadys, Kenneth, Raymond and Jewel Wright, Charles, Howard, Joseph, Ethel and Beulah Parrish. All returned home that evening wishing them many more happy birth days.
