A D., railroad at Sycamore street , she met with a shocking accident. She was on her wav to the Saturday night market and as she was crossing this street, she stopped to watch the switching of the cars about the tracks. She was starting onto the main track and did not notice the approach of the southbound passenger No. 59. The train struck her and she was horribly mangled and in such a condition that noose was able to recognise her. Engineer Cahill was lti charge of the train No. 59. The patrol was called and she was removed to Mercy hospital, where it wm fjund that her skull' w»«= fractured, her right eye knocked out. her left leg crushed and broken and her right arm broken. She was bruised up generally. She was rendered unconscious.After being removed to the hospital, it was learned who she was and her husband, Solomon Hunter a stove moulder at the Kahn Stove works, was sent for. it was thought that she could onlv live a she*it time. Dr. Treble dressed the woutuls andthe broken limbs were reset. Up to yesterday noon, she remained uoconscious. she fats since rallied and there are hopes of her recovery.
