Riverside beside the 15 boys who had died in WW One. By 1934 only two survivors of the war between the states could attend. These were C. A. Harrimann, 88, and John Runkle, 95. Aaron Jones, 91, and Ira Sargent, 88, were two feeble to be present.In 1936 the seats once occupied by these veterans were vacant, but Harrimann, bedfast at 90 and Jones, frail at 88, no longer “got out”.It was a solemn occasion, not repeated today, and sometimes I winder . . . Has the world changed so much.,. or have I..,One thing was certain in 1914, there would be no more wars...
