A communication advises The Herald that Sgt. Johnnie Alsup, Age 24, was wounded during act ion in Italy last February 16th, and has received the Purple Heart for bravery. Set, Alsup resided in this city prior to life induction into the Army on Dec. 15, 1942, and was sell overseas in May, 1943. He Will be remembered as the grandson of Mrs. 8. L. Alsup of this city, and the husband of the former Geraldine Tucker, also of this city.
