W.A.A.C. trainees.Lieutenant (j. g.) and Mrs. Straugh and their daughter, Mary Kathryn, are living at 321 Hayes Street, Hollywood, Florida. Lieutenant Straugh is studying navigation and is preparing to teach pre-flight students. About August 14 they expect to leave Hollywood Beach. Mrs. Straugh has written her friends that they are nicely situated, living only a block from the beach. She also states that living there one is aware at all times of the war and its activities.
