Representative of Upper Peninsula Branch Here in Few Days, Mia. Ida M. Curl special rep resentative of the Upper Peninsula branch of the Michigan Children’s Ald Sociaty, will be in Tronwood within a few days to solicit funds for the work of the society. All funds received are held and dis bursedd by the Upper Peninsula Worsurer, Edward 8. Glee of the First’ National bank, Marquette. Last year was a splendidly suc* cessful one, especially from the point of view of service rendered to children in this part of the state to report the officers. It was a good year also financially. In that for the first time in several years the society received from the public al« 7 most as much as it expended In service to children. It is a surprising fact that this organization has for years expended more for the cave of Upper Peninsula children than], has been contributed by the people of this section of the state, Miss Davia in Charge, ' Miss Alene Davis, a well-trained solar worker, is in charge of the service to children in the Upper Peninsula, and she or her assistant can always be reached at the soci ety's office in the Harlow building, Marquette, The Michigan Children's Ald at clety $4 one of the oldest organtan- ions of did kind it the United States, and has a splendid recover of achievement.
