Another pioneer has passed away and again we are called upon to chronicle the death of one of Adams county’s aged mothers. Mrs. Samuel Duteher died at her home near Monmouth on Wednesday of last week. Interment took place last Friday: Catherine Dudelson was born, Fairffeld county, Ohio, September 21st 1811, departed this life May 18, 1898, aged 86 years, 7 months and 27 days. She was married to Samuel Duteher, April 24th, 1832J to this union there were twelve children Ixrni, seven sons and five daughters. Two sons died in infancy, two sons after manhood, one in war. Eight children survive the mother, five daughtsrs and three sons, with fifty-three grand children and eighty-two groat grandchildren. She was a member of the M. E church from her girlhood,until Feb. 1869, when she was received into the Concord Luthern Congregation by Rev. Father Exline, where she retained her membership until death. She with her husband came from Ohio to this state Sept. 1849, thus giving her residence in about the same community for forty-nine years. She was the wife of her now aged husband sixty-six years and twenty four days. She was an attentive wife and a ,de-vouted mother.a
