ExtraS of a letter from Dirt ant, May 2. _«« By the Belifariiis, an American frigate, juft arrived at this port with a convoy from America, we learn, that a ferrous conteft has lately taken place between the colonies of Conneifticut and Jjetf-Englahd, relative to oertain privileges granted by. the Courts of France ahd Spam to*Le exportsthelatterprovince, butwhichitis infifted, by pofitive; artides, Was generally meant to go effendslly to the fervice of all the United States. Two'Commiffioners arrived in this veffel, who immediately after fet off to the CourTof Verfailles, in company with the Mar-.quis de Bourdille and the Comte Perftaine, officers in the Congrefs fervice.”
