StanbackMyles Duane Stanback, a lifelong resident of Chicago Heights, died Friday, May 12, at Olympia Fields Osteopathic Hospital and Medical Center.Services were Monday at Davis, Hammond Prowell Funeral Home, Chicago Heights, with the Rev. Michael Riggins of Portland Street Church of God in Christ officiating. Interment was in Mount Glenwood Memory Gardens, Glenwood.Myles Stanback was born Jan. 7, 1978 in Chicago Heights. He attended Bloom Trail and Bloom high schools where he was on the basketball teams.He is survived by his mother, Paula; seven sisters, Kenya Howard, Pauline Howard, Louise Knox and Gertie Lee Jones, all of Chicago Heights, Valerie Stanback and Edna Pettigrew, both of Charleston, Mo., and Brenda Jones of Ford Heights; six brothers, David Pettigrew and Travis Stanback, both of Charleston, Mo., Dana Stanback of Park Forest, Allen Howard of Chicago Heights, Mark Gaultney of Oakland, Calif., and Tyrone Scott of Kankakee.
