Nettie Brown Gerhardt «u born in Mmaouri, Ju’y 8th. 1887, died at Fort Sumner, New Mexico, May ISth, 1918, age^3Q years, 10 montha, 19 days.When a small child the came with her parent* to Guthrie. Okla., and remained in Oklahoma until 1910. whenah-* came with her parent* and brother • to Fort Sumner.j In June, ’917, *|ie waa marriedj Carl J. Gerhardt. She is survived by I her husband, infant child (Nettie Bernice), aiid by three brothers-Emory of Fort Sumner. Theodore of A redale, Okla., and J. Wilbur of Guthrie, Okla.Mr® Gerhardt when »|uite young unit'd with the Congregational church, in which denomination her father was a pastor for many years. In 1911 she transferred her membership to the Presbyterian Church of Fort Sumner, where her membership remained until her death. She was a member of the Christian Endeavor, Red Croa* him oilier Christian and f'nilanthropic organization®. She lived an active Christian and helpful life. She has always had the highest regards of those who anew her. and will long be remember. lt;1 tor her many words and deeds ot kiiuiners and for h®r noble life.Funeral services warn conducted at the Fort Sumner Pretbyterian churrh on Sunday afternoon by Dr J. R. Carver, pastor, and were largely attended Her remains were laid to rest n*-ar those of her mother, in the Fort Sumner cemetery.
