Franklin.Memorial day occurs one week frcm to-day. Agaiu we are reminded of our duty to the memory of our dead comrades. Uncontrolable circumstances will greatly interfere with the general observance, as we might prefer if circumstances were different. All old comrades ami friends are requested to meet w ith the members of J. H. Duncan Post at Odd Fellows hall at 1 p. m., May 30, bringing with them all the flowers that can be obtained,after which thev will accompany the Post to the cemetery, where memorial order will he read and ceremooviw «« laid down in the ritual gone through with, after which the graves of comrades will be decorated. The Post having failed to procure the services of a speaker, take this method of paving as sincere a tribute as though the display was more ostentatious. Comrades and friends living near the various cemeteries in the country adjoining are requested to sec that all comrades’ graves are decorated lt;n that day; let no grave he neglected.Again we invite all friends to join with us iu paying a tribute to the memory of our dead comrades.
