commence# rather early in the morning for the majority of our citizens.Now and then an echo of dissatisfaction reaches us from the Devils Lake country. That much advertised country is turning out a good many disappointed land hunters. The Grafton News says: Dr. N. II. Hamilton and P. E. .Sandaper, Esq., returned home this week from a visit to Devil’s Lake and its extensively boomed towns. They expressed much dissatisfaction with the quality of the soil, and claim that there are scarcely any actual settlers there. The bulk of the settlements being townsitc speculators. Hamilton and .Sandugcr feel more confident than ever of the future promises of Grafton.
